The Florida Tour

We are very excited to be on tour through Florida. If you read our last post, you know we went from Vermont over to New York and the Adirondacks. Our last college show was in Malone, NY (only 12 miles from Canada) and we drove through the beginning of the blizzard, but escaped the 6 foot snow by hours. It was a long drive, but knowing that we were headed towards warm sunshine made the journey seem shorter. We arrived in Florida at 2 am and had a show at 1 pm the same day. That is the life of entertainers.

It was so nice to smell the warm air of Florida! A few days ago we could smell the orange blossoms and they are so fragrant. If you have never smelled an orange blossom it is one of the most extraordinary smells in the world. But more than anything, we enjoy the wonderful audiences in Florida. They are always as warm as the sunshine. The above picture is from the Stonecrest Resort. People at all of the resorts are so nice and helpful and a great audience. As soon as we mention that we are from Indianapolis, fellow Hoosiers burst into spontaneous applause. And after the show, when Katalina mentions that she grew up in Michigan, fellow Michiganders throw up their hand to show what part of Michigan they were from (only Michiganders understand this!). We are having an incredible time and will keep you posted on more of our Florida adventures.

Norwich University

norwich
Hello from Vermont! We just finished performing at Norwich University. We had a great time! Christian had fun telling stories and the students/cadets were a blast. There is nothing better than seeing someone you know on stage being part of the entertainment. And because the corps of cadets is such a tight knit group, they really had a good time seeing their buddies on stage.

A special thanks to Greg for making us feel very welcome and taking good care of us!

After Norwich, we decided to take a ferry across Lake Champlain into New York.

As you can see the water is full of ice. One side of the lake is frozen over and people were ice fishing and driving their cars on the ice. The ferry ride took about 10 minutes. While in the Adirondacks we did get to go by Lake Placid and see the ski jumps. They are very impressive.

Oh and by the way…How about the Colts?! Superbowl Champions! Fantastic! We are sorry we missed the parade today, but we will be home in a few days and look forward to celebrating with friends and family.
