Keynote Speech
We performed a keynote speech last week for the Crooked Creek Elementary School 5th grade graduation ceremony in Indianapolis…and it was wonderful.

As most of you know, we perform for adults at the college entertainment and corporate entertainment level, so this was a totally new experience for us. We believe that in order to continue to grow as performers and as people, you have to try new things, get out of your comfort zone, and experience the variety of things that life has to offer.
Our biggest supporters were Helen and Margaret Brabant (see earlier post) who made it possible for us to do this. They believe that magic as an art can be used as a tool to teach people about the magic in each of us. We combined our powerful message “the secret of magic” with entertaining magic.
Our speech was very well received. First, it is always nice to see heads nod in the audience as you get out the message. Second, after the speech we had teachers, parents, and grandparents telling us how much they could relate to what we said. Third, magic can have a dark, negative connotation for some people. We wanted to show that magic is positive and bright and that no matter what you do in life, if you do it with passion and follow your heart then you will be magical and have a magical life.

We believe it was a fantastic experience for everyone involved.
