Prior to our Mind Tripping Show at the Hilton, we were having fun with some corporate guests who were getting ready to go out and enjoy Indianapolis. They were a group of leaders from an engineering company in Ohio.

Christian has a signature piece that he performs. Right before the finale, the card that the guest has chosen is sitting on the table face down. The rest of the cards are in a pile a little ways away from the chosen card also face down. Prior to revealing the card that the guest has chosen, Christian asks the guest “on a scale of 1 to 10, how awesome was the effect?” The guest said that it was an “8″, then quickly added “but if the top card on the deck is my card, then I would give it a 10.” Christian in his calm, yet confident and animated way said “No problem…first, I will give you an 8″ – he turns over the single card on the table which is in fact the 8 of diamonds; “Now I will give you a 10″ and with that Christian turns over the top card of the pile which is in fact his chosen card. The place erupts in howling and laughter. The guest knew that he had just been had, but he loved it anyway. It was a miraculous moment.

We had a tremendously fun time performing at the Gilmore Auditorium (home of the Carolina Opry) and the Champions of Magic show to benefit the Children’t Museum of South Carolina.

It was a full, fun crowd ready to enjoy amazing magic.

We performed our Married Math routine which is about finding the key to success for any couple who is together 24 hours a day. We also performed our Carnival of Destiny piece about the power of love and finding each other in the crowded and busy carnival of life. It was a fantastic show.

You may have read our blog post on the challenges to performing at a variety of different venues. What you notice in the above picture is that Christian is off the stage and in the audience. Because there is a dance floor separating the audience from ourselves, this creates a barrier to intimacy and personal connection. To counteract this, Christian moved into the audience and locked eyes with many people. By doing this, he created an intimate rapport which resulted feelings of connection and a vested interest in what we are doing on stage.

Our show was a huge success because of this. 10 years, 1000s of shows, and 100s of venues later, we are experts at adapting to all environments.

Everyone is very excited to see the Mind Tripping Show. They are lined up outside the door!

They are streaming into the theatre because they want to see strange, unexplainable phenomenon in a fun, entertaining way that only Christian & Katalina know how to do.

We love working with Dave Wise from Allegra Indianapolis East for our marketing needs. As you can see from the above picture, he does beautiful work printing a whole array of advertising materials. He printed these beautiful panels to fit in our “Mind Tripping Show Central Hub” in the lobby of the Hilton Indianapolis Hotel & Suites.

But Dave’s expertise does not stop here. He has some really neat products like laser etching where you can get a logo etched in a fleece blanket or a fleece vest.

We love the fantastic crowds, the energy and interaction of the audience, and the intimate setting for the show. We had a family of six who came to the show and after the show the father said “thanks for being so nice to my family”. We said “thank-you for honoring us by bringing your family to see our show.”

Performing at the beautiful Campanile Center for the Arts was fabulous. A theatre crowd is always the best because they love the performing arts. We had a good mix of season ticket holders along with tourists who visit in the summertime. And we had the full range of people aged 6-96. We know that they loved the show because when we got to the last piece and told them the show was about to end, we heard then sigh and say “Awwwwwwww.”
